Myrna Domit Journalist

Myrna Domit, a native from Brazil, has extensive experience in the development, media and creative industries. She worked in the Communications Department for the United Nations in New York as a Radio Producer and later moved to Haiti, where she stayed for four years. In Haiti, Myrna worked in the Communications Department of the United Nations Peacekeeping Mission in Haiti (MINUSTAH) working closely with the Chief of Mission and Spokesperson in all communications related activities. Myrna also worked as a contributing reporter for the Associated Press in Haiti, from 2006–2008, during a time when the country was plagued with violence. Myrna is currently a contributing reporter for the New York Times, in Brazil, and has been published in publications worldwide.

Myrna has a M.S. from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism and a B.A. in International Relations and Latin American Studies from Tufts University with a Minor in Nationalism, Culture and Identity Studies. She speaks fluent Portuguese, English, Spanish, French and conversational Haitian Creole.
