Eunice Irizarry President and CEO
Expertise: Microfinance, Strategic Partnerships, Enterprise Development

Eunice Irizarry, a native from Puerto Rico, has dedicated her life to development and microfinance. During her 12 years in Haiti, Eunice designed microfinance activity programs in the country's most vulnerable regions. As a Senior Economic Program Manager for USAID, she was responsible for overseeing more than US$45 million in economic development/growth portfolios for major development firms and international banks. She provided technical guidance and administrative oversight of contracts and grants to support enterprise development, resulting in a sustainable infrastructure for microfinance services.

As a Deputy Human Rights Advisor for the Governance Office she managed, monitored and provided technical guidance to a US$10 million portfolio of Human Rights activities.

In an advisory role with PLAN International, Eunice led the operational strategy and provided technical guidance on all the Microfinance and Economic Business Development projects. She also managed a US$3.5 Million portfolio with a focus on food security, education, health and microfinance.

In the private sector, Eunice has worked at Sogesol (part of the Sogebank Group), the Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Haiti, the RJ Group, and UTECO. Throughout this corporate tenure, Eunice has developed and instituted policy, managed portfolios, served as a purchasing agent and an operational manager.

Her extensive experience with resource management and outreach, microfinance, project implementation and development, and donor groups has resulted in a diverse network of contacts within the international community, government ministries, and development agencies.

Eunice has an MBA from Florida International University and speaks fluent Spanish, English, French and Haitian Creole.
